Lymphatic Circulate Compression Pumps
With our CJ & CO Circulate Legs & Shorts
Many people hear “compression pump” and picture it simply squeezing swelling away.
But it’s far more intentional than that.
Here’s what’s happening:
- It Mimics your Lymphatic System
Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump like your heart. It relies on gentle movement and pressure to move fluid. A pneumatic compression pump is designed to simulate that natural process.
- The Garment Inflates in Sections — not all at once
Shorts or boots inflate sequentially. Basic pumps usually start farther from the body and move inward, while more advanced systems first clear central areas, then guide fluid back toward them.
- It Directs Fluid where it can Actually Drain
Instead of forcing fluid into already congested tissue, well-designed pumps guide lymph toward functioning lymph nodes and established drainage pathways.
- The Slow, Rhythmic Pressure is Intentional
Lymph moves slowly. Aggressive or rapid pressure can cause discomfort—or even worsen swelling. That’s why pumps use controlled, gentle cycles.
- It can help “Retrain” Lymph Flow Over Time
With consistent, appropriate use, pumps may improve lymph movement patterns, reduce heaviness, and help soften fibrotic tissue.
